Red Deer Mountain Bike Park

79 Street, Red Deer

Red Deer Mountain Bike Park is one of our go-to day trips - just an hour and a half from Sherwood Park and packed with all the features you want in a ride. Located east of Gaetz Avenue and west of Riverside Drive, this park has two main access points: the south entrance off 77 Street and the north entrance at 48 Avenue and 79 Street. We usually go north - it’s got a parking lot that makes unloading bikes and hitting the trails quick and easy.

The park itself is a mix of everything: cross-country singletrack loops (ranging from 1.6 km to 5.4 km), dirt jumps, boardwalks, berms, gaps, wooden features, and freeride stunts. Trails are rated like ski runs - so whether you’re just starting out or hunting for a change, you’ll know exactly where to ride.

Run by the Red Deer Mountain Bike Association - a nonprofit powered by dedicated local volunteers - this spot is well maintained and rider-ready. Just make sure to follow trail etiquette and keep the good vibes rolling for everyone.

We’ve hit this park more times than we can count. It’s the kind of place you stay until your legs can’t pedal anymore - and trust us, that’s part of the fun. If you haven’t checked it out yet, it’s time to add it to your radar.
